The mission of the Center for Excellence in Teaching (CET) is to promote and encourage teaching excellence in the academic environment where faculty are comfortable seeking the help or advice from their peers. The CET is a service organization created for the advancement of teaching excellence among the faculty of Charleston Southern University.
The Center, staffed by members of the faculty, aims to collect, maintain and disseminate information on current national trends, innovations and professional activities related to teaching strategies, techniques and technologies; to promote dialogue among CSU faculty on teaching experimentation; to organize activities that facilitate the learning of new methodologies; and to assist faculty in obtaining individual consultation related to improving their teaching skills.
