The Testing Center is designed to provide a quiet, supervised testing environment for students who must take tests out of schedule, such as some special needs students and students who are representing the university on official business (including student-athletes).
Testing appointments are available from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Students must call 843-863-8033 at least 24 hours in advance to schedule a testing appointment to allow ample time for the professor to get the test to the Testing Center.
A copy of the Testing Center Form must accompany every test submitted. The form is required to document and clarify the professor's preferences and instructions regarding the test.
Students must pay $80.00 to take a CLEP exam. Non-CSU students must also pay a $30.00 testing fee payable by cash or check only (made payable to CSU). All students must provide two forms of picture identification in order to take a CLEP exam.
STEP 1: Visit the Office of the Registrar and fill out a Standardized Subject Examination Request Form. Receive final approval to take exam from the Registrar. Step 1 is only required for CSU students.
STEP 2: Log into My Account Registration Portal and create an account.
STEP 3: Register and pay your $80 exam fee through your CLEP account. CSU Honor students are not required to pay the exam fee at time of registration.
STEP 4: Schedule your appointment with the CSU Testing Center to take the test by calling 843-863-8033 or stopping by the Student Success Center located on the first floor of the Strom Thurmond Center.
